UPCOMING FASHION RELATED EVENTS 2012:

Designer Kozby of Kozbyworld LLC will reintroduce his design house as Zubair in the Zubair Fashion Show at Hartford City Hall. The event is slated for June 30th, 2012.

Zubair Collection's creative direction is overseen by Kozby whose humble beginnings are deeply rooted in his native homeland Nigeria where he spent a good amount of his childhood days with his grandmother where she taught him the basics of fashion design. More than twenty years later, Kozby is an established designer in Nigeria and is now breaking into the fashion industry in the States. His continuous seek for perfection can be seen in all his collections as well as his special attention to details and client satisfaction.

In 2010, he showcased his collection at the Africa Fashion Week in New York City. The media and afro-fashion clientele loved his collection that he received an invitation to feature his collection the following year. In 2011. Kozby took his positive attitude and eye catching collection to the U.S Virgin Islands Fashion Week where he was voted top 3 designers of the entire week! At only 31 years of age, Kozby's accomplishment speaks volumes but he knows there's more that he can contribute to the fashion industry as a whole.

After some considerable amount of success in 2011, Kozby made a decision to reintroduce himself to the fashion industry as Zubair. In the Arabic language, Zubair means “The Leader in Front,” and with this in mind, Kozby plans on introducing new and exciting collections in 2012. He wants to share his design with everyone which led him to share the runway with 3 talented designers who come from different sectors in the fashion industry. Local based Hartford Denim Company, Ricky Trendy Da‘Vista Spring 2012 Collection of eyewear, and John Ashford Shoe Collection.

Connecticut Fashion Week™ ® To Kick-Off in New Haven!!!!

You have probably heard of New York Fashion Week.  Well, how about the thought of a Connecticut Fashion Week?  For years, I have been brainstorming and sitting on the idea. Hosting a CT Fashion Week can be a huge undertaking.  It has sparked interest in the Fashionshowroom Facebook page.  Sponsors are needed to support the event.  Upon hosting a Fashion Expo in 2004, I realized that hosting a CT Fashion Week is very possible, however, I need  a team.  There are so many great fashion models who I know personally, and I deeply feel that if they had the means, they would already have achieved higher goals. I strongly believe in education as a foundation. It is the lucky ones who prosper, and faith and/or education is a necessity for success in personal achievement.  I also think,   there is a mid-point where most of our peers catch up with each other and at some point we will need each other.  CT Fashion Week, is a celebration of the recognition of International and CT Talent at the highest level – thus meeting at this injunction.  It is a platform where models, artists and industry experts , meet putting on their best.  If you are interested and would like to see Fashion Week Happen in Connecticut or would like to participate, please friend request me at the Facebook.com/ctfashionweek page or email us at ctfashionweek@gmail.com  Thank you!
