What is Fashion Week? Fashion Week is the largest thing in Runway Fashion that consists of a collaboration of media, publicity, advertising, buyers, designers, photographers, make-up artists, models and stylists. Designers and reps prepare greatly for these events and the stage set-up and crew is not taken lightly. Once a model is selected for a fashion week show, his/her value is increased. It is a great mark on a model’s resume and confirms that the model can walk the walk and and is taking the right direction and had advanced to the professional fashion arena.

What is at stake? Mega Bucks. A models and designer’s reputation. A premiere production of season’s attire and designer collections. Make-up from simple to overly outrageously stunning or dramatic and styles that one would and would not dare wear only to be taken as an art form. From kids to adults, the walking must be on point 100% and the models must be top notch and ready for the commercial zone, including television, print, radio and video. No amateurs here. 5’9 is the NY demand, shorter for great performing children and teen lines.

As International Fashion, Plus and Cultural Wear hit the markets, exceptions can be made but professionalism is required. Reporters take notes and orders may be made.
